Hi everyone,

I hope this finds everyone well!! I haven't posted for a while....sadly I was pretty discouraged with my daughter Cassidy's recovery from her nerve graph surgery....
That is up until two weeks ago when Cassidy spontaneously brought her affected hand to her mouth!!!! this is a movement I have waited over two years to see her do and finally my prayers have paid off...within two days of her bringing her hand to her mouth she also raised her affected arm high enough to grab at some rings that dangle from our outdoor play structure and HANG from them!!! I am simply amazed and thankful to see her do these things....Cassidy's nerve graph surgery was a year and half ago and I had given up hope.....I just wanted to post this in hopes for encouraging one of you who may be feeling discouraged at their child's recovery...miracles happen and prayers get answered don't lose hope!!

Woo hoo! Go Cassidy! Yeah for her! It's such an amazing moment the first time you see purposeful movement, isn't it Mom?! Savor the moments...take some pictures. Keep working that arm and body!

You are going to be surprised many more times, Dawn. Celebrate these milestones as it will keep her encouraged to try more things. She will find her own way of doing stuff, so stand back and enjoy!
