KST really works

Post by Mare »

Well thanks to Francine I now have a real chiropractor who does Koren Specific Therapy (KST)and it really works. After one visit my elbows feel great my neck isn't hurting, still tingling but no pain and no pain meds at all today. He also saw Frankie today which left him very tired and ill feeling but Dr kita said that would happen. Also there was no cracking or twisting so its completely safe which with my transverse myelities could be dangerous as with Frankies bpi. The 1st doctor I saw turned out to be a quack but this one is for real and I truly recommend it to anyone in pain it really works. I feel great for the 1st time in over a year. Mare

Day two I slept like a baby last night with out the sleeping pills and no pain or discomfort this morning Amy please look into it before going ahead with the surgery. I usually have to take 100 mg lyric 3 times a day and a vicodin around 5pm then sleeping pill at night because of the elbow pain and neck pain I have had nothing yesterday or today.

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.

This is such great news! I can't believe it, you finally have some help.

Your in NJ and I live on the NJ boarder... How far away is he? I'd love to try to get rid of some pain and sleep finally. Just had breathing tests and cardiac tests and all pain seems to lead to neurological pain...

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: LOBPI. I am 77 yrs old and never had a name for my injuries until 2004 when I found UBPN at age 66.

My injuries are: LOBPI on upper body and Cerebrael Palsy on the lower left extremities. The only intervention I've had is a tendon transplant from my left leg to my left foot to enable flexing t age 24 in 1962. Before that, my foot would freeze without notice on the side when wearing heels AND I always did wear them at work "to fit in" I also stuttered until around age 18-19...just outgrew it...no therapy for it. Also suffered from very very low self esteem; severe Depression and Anxiety attacks started at menopause. I stuffed emotions and over-compensated in every thing I did to "fit in" and be "invisible". My injuries were Never addressed or talked about until age 66. I am a late bloomer!!!!!

I welcome any and all questions about "My Journey".

He's in Morrisville Pa 30 min from my house. He told us he has people come from NC to see him. You don't always have to be seen every week some new patients only go once a month depending on how long it takes your body to process whats been done I would recommend it to everyone His name is Kevin Kita phone 215-736-9291 427 Alden Ave Morrisville PA 19067 its right off Rt 1 over the trenton bridge. If your not in his state or close call him and see if he can refer someone he has worked with or trained. He also see's alot of people with MS so maybe Suzanne would go with you.

Mare do you know if insurance will cover this? I am so strapped financially I cant afford much more.

My arm has really calmed down with OT so I might be able to skip surgery! My fingers havent gone numb in a while so thats great news but I have really been taking it easy too. It only aches a little while driving now. And sometimes with my PCA kiddo.

If there is any chance that the EMG shows my nerve will continue to calm down I am saying no to surgery at this point. I really dont want it.

I will ask my chiro is he knows anything about this type of treatment though. I see him in two weeks but I will probably just shoot him an email.
Thanks for the info and I am so glad you are feeling better!!!!

Hi Amy
Yes it is covered by insurance I usually have a co pay of 20 but I didn't have that either. For Frankie no insurance for chiro it was 100 for 1st visit that was an hour then 40 each visit after. MY EMG didn't even show the compressed nerve it only measured weakness and the MRI showed nothing. Keep resting it and it may heal by itself then just pace yourself and if you start to feel pain STOP and rest it thats how I messed up I just kept pushing myself to get through the work week and 2 days rest wasn't enough by time it started to feel better it was Mon.

Yes Marieke that is the doctor that I saw he is wonderful the one I went to see before him said he was trained in KST but did nothing close to what you saw on the video so you have to be careful that your not getting taken by a fake like I was my insurance covered 17 visits he used up all but 9 with no relief from the pain just a bunch of mombo jumbo so watch the youtube video ao you know what is to be done the 1st visit I was just about to give up all hope then Francine gave me his name and number (Thanks Again Francine) she also has had great results and her daughter Maia also with KST. I suggest everyone with pain give it a try I just called my brother and he is going to go also he broke his back 7 yrs ago and has been in pain ever since Mare
