I've heard lots of people talk about using botox. I was wondering if someone could explain to me how that helps this injury. I thought botox paralyzed muscles...so how does it help? I would love an explaination...thanks!

You can use it to "knock out" or rather weaken the strong muscles (usually internal rotators of the shoulder) to let the already weak external rotators work more.
It paralyzes the muscles, though not completely.
It lasts 2-6 months, and is a good way to see if you can get any strength/function back.
This is a really short-answer for this question, just to give you a brief idea/general idea.
