advise for a friend

Post by my2girls »

I work with a woman who is due at the end on July. Knowing my story about my daughter's birth, she came to me the other day and said that her doctor is telling her that she is measuring 2 weeks ahead of schedule and that it appears she is having a big baby. (That was exactly what happened to me, and at 1 week early and over 11 pounds...well, you could see why this news made her nervous!) Anyway, she asked me what she should ask her doctor about. Any advice? I told her a few things to ask, such as how they would handle a SD, how long they would wait before interveaning, how they would monitor the fetal weight. Any other important points? I know how I would be if I ever got pregnant again and what I would ask but I don't want to sound like a crazy nut and make her paranoid either!
