Hey - over the past several years I've sent some of you a copy of John's Mayo Clinic DVD that introduced the bpi team and showed his surgery (from the special done by Discovery Health Channel.) Somebody else would like to see it & I can't find any more copies. If anybody still has theirs, please let me know & we can arrange how you can send it to this new person. Thanks!!

Take care,

Hi Ellen,
Id like to see a copy of it if you get them back. Were leaving Sunday for Mayo. James is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday.
How is John these days ? Is he out for summer break ?

Hi Priscilla! You and James say 'hi' to the team and give Dr. Shin a big hug from us. I'll be thinking about him during his surgery, and keep us up to date.
Kath, John's surgery was in '02 (I think!) I'm sure there is a lot of improvement in surgical options & technology these days. If nothing else, they now combine the double Doi into one procedure, whereas John had two 10+ hour surgeries seven weeks apart. It would be interesting to hear from somebody else who had a complete bpi (all five nerves avulsed) and who recently had surgery at Mayo - just to compare notes.
Thanks for looking for the DVD. I wasn't good about keeping up with who I sent copies out to, so I don't know who to contact about them. Oh well!
