Looking for Sled w/ back support

We are looking for a sled that has back support on it - for Maia. We and she so enjoys being pulled around on the snow but she will be in her splint this winter and I want to make sure that is able to sit up with back support. Is there any such animal? She's a tall one so she's outgrown the current baby sled that does have back support. We've already looked in the stores with no luck. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi Francine
Last year at Wal mart ( I'm sure you have one near you) They had sleds with back supports and 2 levers on the sides for brakes. I think they were called snow racer or something like that so probably this yr they will have them also. Hope this helps
Also thanks so much on keeping us updated on the HOT TRIKE I got all my info from you and contacted your rep but he wasn't mine(I live in scranton) but did so much to find me the right person and indeed he did and Butchie was approved for it and I recieved a call the other day and our whole family was invited to there company x-mas party and they are gonna have santa come and give Butchie his trike, I am so happy and so thankful to you for all you do for all of us.
Stacy

thanks staycee

I will go there today...we have 3 of them in a 10 mile radius...

good luck with the hot tryke....also, find out if they can get you a B.O.S.S. car...that's super kewl...looks like a moon rover (battery powered) child has to use a joystick to get it moving and it needs two hands!

Maia can't do the hot tryke because she doesn't have enough power and can't steer, but she loves the BOSS car. She walks around with her chest puffed out and says "I'M THE BOSS MOMMY!" lol

Maybe if you find a page for CP-kids or other disabeled children. Kids with difficult disabilites often need extra aid to get to do the same things than children of their age with no disability.

Maybe you could find helpful hints from there?? I tried to find finnish pages, but there was not anything I could find this fast + if needed something like that we could probably loan it from our hospital.
