JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE IS OR HAS HAD PAIN IN THE CHEST WALL OPPOSITE YOUR INJURY SIDE. I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING SOME MAJOR CHEST PAINS AND OF COURSE IT IS ON MY LEFT SIDE AND IT ACTUALLY FEELS LIKE A HEART ATTACK THE PAIN EVEN GOES DOWN THE LEFT ARM(NON INJURY ARM),I HAVE HAD ALMOST ALL THE TEST AND BLOOD TEST THERE IS TO MAKE SURE IT IS NOT MY HEART AND THANKFULLY IT IS NOT.SO I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE COULD HELP WITH SOME HOME REMEDIES OR GIVE SOME IDEAS OR TECHNIQUES TO HELP WITH THE PAIN,I CANT BE ON PAIN PILLS ALL DAY.

I have not experienced anything like this. I would definitely keep an eye on it though.
If you exercise a lot perhaps you may have pulled a muscle in your chest wall? I know I always catch myself massaging a knot in my left side which is my injured side. I sometimes think it's from overcompensating.

I have pulled the cartlidge around my sternum several times. It is very painful and sounds alot like what you are describing. I would ask your doc about this possibilty. It takes along time to heal and they have given me large doses of motrin to keep the inflamation down ..Hope that you feel better soon.

- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: C-5 and C-6. Unable to supinate. Contracture elbow. Wrist bone underdeveloped.
Can raise forearm to mouth level. shoulder is limited in movement. Unable to put arm behind back. Secondary- early arthritis, carpal tunnel, pronator syndrome,scoliosis - Location: Ohio

I have had it several times. This resulted in a cardiac cath and a echocardiogram--even though I told the dr. I thought it was related to OBPI --even though the pain was on the left and the Erb's is on the right. anyway, my heart is fine. I think we are uneven and have such different muscle balances on each side that it is a compensatory issue. Go get it checked out though. Better to be safe than sorry
