I need major support please

Does anyone know of any forums that have to do with adoption? Grandparents rights? Rights of biological children who may need to find their adopted siblings later in life? What rights those biological children have to find their adopted sibling?
I appreciate any and all help.
Thanks,
Rachel in MT

I googled Adoption rights and came up with the following sites.
http://topics.law.cornell.edu/wex/
http://adoption.about.com/od/adoptionrights/
I don't have any answers for you. I have a family member who was adopted and she was not given any information when she tried to get it. They actually had her records right in front of her and would not give her any information.
I don't know what they will tell you about siblings.

Kath,
Thank you for this information. I'm just looking as to what a siblings rights are right now. I have my sister's kids and they need to know how to find their sibling later on.
It's a mess.
Thanks a bunch
Rachel

Is it possible for the children to get free representation from the state on this matter?
Since the children have no finances and it sounds as if their siblings may be adopted perhaps legal advice may be available to them. They must have some rights, at least I hope they do.

Rachel,
I also remember Dr.Phil puting helpful Contact Resources on his website at
www.drphil.com
This was recently. Look for a link to "Adoption Resources" or some very similar term.
Good Luck and...

Thank you everyone for your help.
I appreciate it so much.
I feel as if my hands are tied right now. We are able to write a letter so far and I did do that. I just feel as if it's not enough. I'm hanging in here and honestly don't know what else to do.
Thank you so much everyone.
Much appreciated.

I have done a lot of research in adoption in college and also am a social worker in IA. I would look into if the kids have a Gaurdian Ad Litem. If they do, then that is their legal representation. If you can email me with more details about the situation...if you are comfortable with that, I might be able to help more.
