itch you cant scratch!

hey guys hope you are all well. easter coming up!
just maybe a stupid question, but does anyone have an itch in your brachial plexus affected arm that you cant scratch? ive had this annoying itch for the last few days; but it feels like it is within my arm. annoying me like crazy.lol.

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: Date of Injury: 12/15/02

Level of Injury:
-dominant side C5, C6, & C7 avulsed. C8 & T1 stretched & crushed

BPI Related Surgeries:
-2 Intercostal nerves grafted to Biceps muscle,
-Free-Gracilis muscle transfer to Biceps Region innervated with 2 Intercostal nerves grafts.
-2 Sural nerves harvested from both Calves for nerve grafting.
-Partial Ulnar nerve grafted to Long Triceps.
-Uninjured C7 Hemi-Contralateral cross-over to Deltoid muscle.
-Wrist flexor tendon transfer to middle, ring, & pinky finger extensors.

Surgical medical facility:
Brachial Plexus Clinic at The Mayo Clinic, Rochester MN

I've always accredited that to healing. Same thing with deep cuts that needed stitches, harsh bruises, broken bones, and my BPI. So in my book, that's good news!

Sorry to hear that you have that itch but now I know that I'm not the only one that gets that itch. You feel it, you know right where it is, you try to scratch it but you find that it is inside your arm. I only get it where I have no feeling. My finger, back of my hand, wrist and forearm all get that itch at different times. I try to scratch it gently because where I have no feeling in that arm I know that I could scratch myself and not know it. I don't know of a cure or how to make it stop. I'm just glad to find out that I'm not the only one that gets this itch.
