some good news...not all guys are bad

I have finally built up my confidence enough to let myself be available to guys and got lucky enough to find a great guy who can see me past my injury!

For so many years I let myself believe that guys wouldnt want to love me because I wasn't perfect like my friends. My injury has help me back in that area of my life but no more! I know that I deserve greatness just like the next guy and I think I found it!

He has stolen my heart!
He wants to learn about my injury though and especially for his best friends, they are expecting. So he talked to them and then had me talk to them. So I am hoping we have saved another baby from the possibility. I have warned them to ask every question they can think up and then some.

So when you find the right person, the injury doesnt matter. Living on cloud 9 right now!
Hope every one else is having a great week as well!
Hugs,
Amy 21 years old ROBPI from MN

I'll second that one!
Amy you had to become more comfortable with your arm before you could let anyone else into your life.
Your comfortable and have all the answers now so that makes everyone around you more comfortable.

My husband still forgets sometimes and I had to explain my arm to him hundreds of times. He never noticed it ... just proves love is blind... LOL...

Enjoy this special time.

Thanks Sue and Kath!

I went to a goal setting workshop back in January and decided by my birthday that I wanted to be confident in myself. And one way I would do that was go to Karaoke and sing in front of people with out trying to hide my arm. So I went everny time I was home in January and February and am now dating the DJ ;)

I did have to learn to be confident in me before I could let anyone else in. its a very valuale life lesson. Now I love me and I am confident and its working out great for me! The arm so does not matter in the least! if anything its a conversation starter, hes interested in my bod work. I cant wait to teach him and maybe some day he will be the one to come with me to camp. Who knows what will happen in time.

Hugs,
Amy

OOOOOHHHH, AMY, my heart is so full for you!! :) I am so happy for you.
I was wondering about how that Kareoke goal was going and was hoping for an update...but DATING THE DJ?? Woweeee, you GO Girl!! I just knew the way you have been motivated with your goals that it was just a matter of time before you would draw a good man into your heart and busy life.

Believe me, you will be saving alot of babies and Moms & Dads too as you are going along your Journey as you are. Your instincts and Skills are Awesome and enviable.
Now a good man in your life too! I am really doing my Happy Dance for you.

Waahwhoo!

If it was easy, I wouldnt be doing it ;) My OT used to tell me that with my therapy all the time. She would say "if it was easy, I wouldnt have you do it!"

Relationships are not meant to be easy, but I am ready to work for it.

Thanks every one for the wonderful comments! I am still smiling ear to ear he makes me so happy! I cant wait to see him again.
Hugs,
Amy

!!!!!!!AWESOME NEWS AMY !!!!!

I agree........there is NOTHING in this world better then finding someone who appreciates and respects you for who you are !!!!

And as others have said, Love IS Blind :)

John & I have been together for 27 years and married for 20. I STILL have to remind him of my limitations (especially on cat litter day lol)

Run with it and see where it takes you is my motto.
