Did any of you fellow Brits see the channel 4 prog. a couple of days ago about spinal cord repair hopes?

I don't know how relevant it is to bpi, but it was very interesting anyway...here's the link..

http://www.channel4.com/news/cgi-bin/se ... tory05.htm

(bit of a long URL!) There is a link on the page to the video clip that was broadcast...well worth watching, but takes a while to download...

interesting stuff liz, i'll expect to see the prog down here in a year or so! I was also reading that Carlstedt has now reimplanted bp nerves into the spinal cord on several adults and a couple of obpi babies, with varying results. Early days yet. Its great that pioneers are continuing to look for better repair methods, the current repairs and grafts have been the only way of treating these injuries for over 100 years now, time for some new methods i reckon!
