breastfeeding ?
When after stopping breastfeeding does your milk stop? I stopped about a year ago now and can still produce a small amount. Is this normal?
Re: breastfeeding ?
No worries, That is very normal and common. Every woman is different, but I have heard lots of women who can still express milk up to a year or more after weaning. Pam
Re: breastfeeding ?
After my daughter was weaned I still produced milk for over a year... I'd say maybe two years I could get a bit of milk out. I asked my doctor about it and they said to stop squeezing the nipple for a while (I did that for the self breast exam) and it should stop. I let that part of the test go for a few months maybe up to six and it did go away... just in time for me to get pregnant and need to nurse again!! LOL!

I did want to add that you should ask your doctor about it. Since that is part of the self breast exam you'd want to make sure that it is just milk... that is why I finally asked mine just to be sure ya know!
