Was supposed to have cervical fusion to hopefully get this arm working again! EMG showed damage in the disc, was so excited to have surgery and get better!My platelet count was too low to do the surgery. I was so ready! Now I have to be followed by hematology and ok'd for surgery! On another round of high dose steroids and hopefully surgery soon! They are hoping this will help and that the nerve is just pinched. If not, then more dr's, but was hoping to be awake with some function back tonight!

OK, they say everything happens for a reason... The BPI may have saved my life! I was dx today with a blood disorder, met w/a hematologist and will be going back in Monday under close supervision for surgery. My counts have gone up by 70,000 on the medication and I am more ready than ever! If my surgeon were not so thorough, they said I may not have made it through surgery and never known I had this! So... spirits high and REALLY READY FOR SURGERY! THANKS FOR THE THOUGHTS! Katie
