Can anyone shed some light on why the skin on my upper arm (front, side and back) becomes unbearably itchy several times a day? And the mild hand swelling I've been having all along seems to be getting worse??

Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi I am sure someone will have a medical/experienced answer, but this is the answer my son ( 4 yrs LTBPI with a sensitive upperarm , without the itching,) gives- Because if your nerves are pulled out of the spinal cord the nerves are haywire and firing , it gives these kind of phantom feelings. For the hand - his hand swells, and he lifts his arm up above his head ( as far as he can) regularly during the day and massage and bend and flex the fingers and wrist with his other hand when he is sitting still or in company that he feels at ease in. The big thing is to keep the blood flowing as normal as possible, as even the bloodvessels contract due to nerve impulses and if that is lost, the flow slows down.(His arm has become cold and clammy) He keeps his hand in the pocket of his jeans- paralelle pockets - with the thump sticking out- as a brake- :) When he stands and talks he lifts/swings the flail arm up and stand cross armdWhen he drives, he sits with it on his lap.
