My son is almost 9 years old with a RBPI and for the past 2 years
has been bothered with severe GI reflux. He has under gone many tests with the GI specialists and has been on many different medications with limited success. Recently, we have been seeing a Chiropractor who thinks maybe it is related to the BPI because he says the nerves from the brachial plexus also branch to the esophogus. Does anyone have any experience with this?
The reflux is very severe and actually comes up into his mouth so he has to go and spit it out. Sometimes the episodes last a couple of hours of spitting up every few minutes.
Thanks, Pam Wiehe
BPI and Reflux?
Re: BPI and Reflux?
Matthew just turned a year old, but when he was younger he had a bad reflux problem. The pediatrician brushed it off (from what I'm told many of them do). His acupuncturist said that it's normal to have problems like that because the intestine area and bpi area lye on the same meridian. He treated Matthew and after a couple of sessions he was better. Within a couple of months the reflux passed.
