One Arm Video Demonstrations?

I have read a few posts of people asking "I'd love to know how you do that" i.e., tying shoes and many other things.

I was trying to think how to describe in writing how I would let someone know how I do certain things, like tying my shoes, and it would be so much easier if I could just video it and then upload that video so others could watch it. I think this could be a great way for people to help.

That being said, does someone know how we could have a way to host video content either on this site or another site we could then link to?

Use YouTube and post your link. It's really easy to use. You take video with a digital camera or a video camera and upload it to your PC. Go to YouTube and create an account, takes a few minutes to upload it to their site and you are DONE! It tells you how to do it it in easy steps, about 2 of them :)
There are others on here that have accounts and post things either to do with BPI or just everyday things.

ps: I have my cats on YouTube, that's why I know how easy it is :)

Dan, what a GREAT IDEA!!! This would benefit everybody, of all ages, obpi & tbpi. Maybe the ubpn folks could set up a special link so all the youtube videos would be more accessible.

It would also help if there was a consistent way the video was described - maybe an input form with drop down menus for overall categories such as: Tying shoes, Hair in ponytail, Cooking, etc. Then the associated video would be categorized so people could quickly get to the subject they needed.

I could see this idea really taking off.

Thanks for using your noggin,

Ellen

SUPER IDEA! IT WOULD BE GREAT TO GO TO A WEBSITE AND ACTUALLY SEE HOW DIFFERENT THINGS ARE ACCOMPLISHED ONE-HANDED INSTEAD OF TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT BY JUST READING DESCRIPTIONS! SUE
