I began having neck, shoulder and arm pain from poor ergonomics in the workplace, which only worsened. My physiotherapist told me I had Brachial nerve compression. This is changing my life, as I can no longer do the things I enjoy such as playing guitar or piano, nor can I do my school work as almost everything is computer based. I am really considering alternatives for career choices as so many jobs today also involve using computers. I am so overwhelmed.Any thoughts/advice? What is the best treatment? Phsio? Accupunture? Massage? Should I see a neurologist?

PT is a good place to be with this injury. I would also recommend seeing a dr with Brachial Plexus experience. Although a neurologist may have some ideas I think you would benefit from seeing a BPI specialist. If you click on the resources link at the top of the page there are several listed. You probably won't want to hear this but if you are already having these problems a lifetime of work that is aggrivating the problem will only cause it to get worse. This could eventually lead to permanent damage or loss. I think looking at other fields may be a good idea. Who knows, with cutting out the major aggrivators of the area you may be able to do the things you like such as piano and guitar.
