Mother to a BPI child with newly discovered oesteoarthritis in my C4 - C6, right now with severe pain in pinched nerves in C5 and C6. I have been in incapacitating pain for about six weeks, and under doctor instruction. The last I spoke with my doctor he said that I needed to find another occupation, one that did not rely on a computer keyboard. Tonight I can not use my arms, this written by a friend , I need educated suggestions as to what my occupation possibilies are. Please advise.

Sorry to hear you are having such issues! two thoughts...
Have you thought about seeing a chiro or OT/PT? You might find relief that way. Good luck!

The other is you might want to ask on the tbpi board what they do as this injury is life changing for them. Many obpi lead very "normal" lives(not that tbpi dont but this often does change their life). I know Marieke is working on her third degree (one in Nursing, after being a PT and a teacher) I am in college to be an OT. Nancy was a college professor... you get the idea, we generally do anything that a non injured person does ust a tad bit different and possibly a shorter amount of time.

I hope that this is some temporary inflamation and that you may continue to work on what ever your heart leads you to.
Good luck!
