Hurt my good arm...

The other day, I was out horseing around (literally), in the barn, and after I got done I came into the house, sat down to a cup of coffee, and realized that the wrist of my good arm - the left one - hurt like the dickens.
It felt like I had hyperextended it but I could not remember having done so. It only hurt when I moved it or looked at it, so I tried to ignore it and went about my business.
-=Then=-
I saw my sister who is a clinical massage therapist (http://www.holisticmatters.net/) and I asked her to take a look at it for me. She turned it this way and that, made faces at it, yanked and prodded it, and then started rubbing the area just below my elbow.
"Hey stupid!" I said, "It hurts down here." and I pointed to my wrist.
The next thing I knew, she was grinding hell out of a spot on my forearm that hurt so bad it short circuted my central nervous system and made me say "Hanya, hanya hanya..." over and over again.
Afterwards, my wrist no longer hurt but my forearm was bruised and swollen and sore to the touch.
The point is, according to her, this was a case of referred pain. Pain that occurs when you have injured one area of your body, and it manifests somewhere else. She says it's common with injuries such as we have here.
Anyone else had this?
