some of us brits discovered we have no fingerprints on the bpi hand, and no lines on the hand itself. i only just realised this after 22 yrs, shows how often i hoist that hand up and check it out :0) any of you guys got this? more importantly, any of you guys with some use of your hand got this....i have some good crime ideas....i'm also planning to visit a fortune teller, cross her palm with silver then flop the ole bpi hand on the table, just to see her face at my hand with not a single line on it....:0)

give em time mikey....they'll disappear! opening the safe, that's the real problem here. I think bpi who can still use their hands also get to keep their prints...i'll keep pondering on this one, seems a pity to waste a printless hand in a law abiding life!

Hi Jenny! After 45 years, I still have partial prints on the fingers of the bpi side. How fast are they supposed to fade? Bill

thats interesting bill, maybe they don't all get this way, it's to do with the skin thinning and occurs where there in so sensory or motor function. i haven't forgotten you, i'm still planning my list of questions to ask you as a longer term bpi than me! :0)

Well....I don't know how I missed this post, but it got by me somehow. I couldn't tell by just looking at my fingertips....except to say that it appears I have prints still. So.......I did the ink thingy, you know, like when you go to the pokey and leave them on a card ?? (I'll plead the fifth to any explanations) Anyway, there is a definate difference in the ink width and tone on the bpi hand. Must be careful to let someone else print you, cause there may be a pressure bias if you do it yourself.

Definate difference Jen !!

No, I didn't go to the jailhouse for this experiment :O) had an inkpad at home. Try it out.......
