I'm not sure if your chest or pecs were affected by your injury. For Dustin's pecs they had him kneel up to a table so it would be chest high. He then tried to bring the arm across his body. By leaning into the table it was making a position where it was harder to use other muscles to compensate. He also would lay on the floor and I would hold the arm out to the side and he would bring it across his body. I could then lower it more into gravity as he gained strength. I guess that would be a version of a fly, only that he couldn't make the moves without support.

While I was at U Wyoming, I would go to the gym often and use as many of the weight and aeribic machines as possible. When I first started using gym equipment, I use a cuff made from a roller blading glove with velcro grippers to keep my hand on, now I can keep my hand fairly stable. You should probably get some kind of brace to protect the joints.
