Acetyl-l-carnitine & diet?

hi all!
here i am recovering from my second surgery.fingers crossed! i have been reading the benefits of acetyl-l-carnitine supplements as they have been shown to help in peripheral nerve generation.

anyone gone this route? any special vitamins, supplements in your diets?
Well after reading..im on around 3gm Acetyl-l-cartenine daily, a B-complex, and calcium/magnesium for my other injuries. fingers crossed!
