I just learned yesterday for the first time that Ron Paul (Texas congressman running for president - Republican party) was an ob\gyn and delivered about 4,000 babies. Then I wondered, he must have opposed the laws that the current President wanted to put in place recently that would have limited medical malpractice awards, being an ob\gyn and all...I was wrong. He actually voted against it (http://www.ontheissues.org/2008/Ron_Pau ... h_Care.htm) and instead has introduced legislation to address patient's recovery in a different way, see: http://www.ronpaullibrary.org/document.php?id=928
This guy is probably the only Republican I would have voted for, even before yesterday...too bad he has no chance of getting the nomination.
Did you know this about Ron Paul...interesting - non BPI

He's running as a republican but he's actually a libertarian. Libertarians are generally socially liberal and economically conservative although it's the most moderate third party.
In any case, good reasearch, thanks for sharing.

He's an... interesting person, to say the least. He wants to bring back the gold standard in regards to currency, among other things. Eh, I would rather vote for him then, say, Clinton, Obama, Giuliani, or McCain.
