Hi Courtney~
Who are you seeing? I went a few yrs back and I sow Spinner, I want to say it was 4 yrs ago. They told me there was nothing I could about the pains I had in my hands and fingers. And they too, like you, were new pains. The said to try drugs. No thanks. It was a dead end for me. I get them once in awhile, but not far enough in between. Its a horrible shooting pain. I tell Jim, my husband, it feels like someone is ripping my veins out of my wrist. Let me know who you will see and I'm dieing to know what they can do for you. Good Luck!!!! Driving the convertible there?

Sue, What time is your appointment, mine is 1:30. We should definitly meet up. I have emailed you my numbers...
Kath, I am seeing Dr. Shin... I sure hope they can figure something out for me! My liver is going to die soon if I just keep popping all these crazy pills but I CAN NOT take these crazy pains.... Like a charlie horse in my nuckles... classic symptoms of ulnar nerve problems but hte idiots I saw here say its 'normal' and I certainly know, as we all do, that my arm would NEVER look normal on an EMG! haha
I will keep you all posted... Suee get a hold of me...
THANKS!!

Good luck Court! I hope they are able to get you an answer! Wish I could be there, I will be missing you by a day. I am seeing my doctor in Minneapolis (about an hour to an hour and a half from Rochester) on Wednesday the 22nd for my 12 week post-op.
Also good luck to Dustin! I hope his appointments go well and he has a very successful surgery on the 22nd!
Hugs,

Hey Court, do your knuckles feel better if you hold them flexed with your other hand? My knuckles hurt sometimes but if I put on my splint that blocks my knckles down or I just hold them down it helps the pain go away.
i really hope they can give you an answer tomorrow!

Hey Courtney it was great meeting you too!!!
Well, after great discussion Dustin decided to wait. The EMG had shown more nerve signals than previous. Dr Shin thought about waiting, hoping to get more return. Then they all agreed that a Spindler flexoplasty would be appropriate for him since he could bring up the elbow from 90 degrees, as he was showing you. He actually made all the arrangements before we left the appt. Then we went outside and talked some more. After that we went back up and cancelled for now.
I think it is great that he got to meet another person with a BPI. Thanks so much for meeting with us.

hi. i recently had a bp injury caused by a surgery. it has been three months and i have increasing pain. i am taking neurontin and it makes me terribly sick (any suggestions for meds?). i don't really understand my injury and no doctor has been able to put his finger on why it has happened. the best bet is that it is a traction injury. is there anyone that can explain to me what is happening to my arm. and, is there any relief to be had from muscle spasms in the shoulder/back and chest? thanks
