I am now almost 11 weeks post surgery and doing awesome! Still 100% pain free and loving it! My arm is still weak but doing better overall! Now that my shoulder is in a better position I am not having to compensate as much to use my hand and new muscle sare being used. My OT says if I keep working hard that I might be able to use my fingers individually!!! I am getting there but its hard work.
This has been my miracle surgery! I cant wait to see what my doctor says when I see him on the 22nd. I will let you all know how that appointment goes but I wanted to share some exciting news for me. I never though I would be able to use my fingers seperate from one another. THey never used to work at all then as a group now maybe seperate. Very excited over here with all the new function I never thought this surgey would bring! I was just hoping for pain relief annd I have gotten so much more!
Thanks for letting me share this journey with you all!
Every one has been a great support to me!
Hugs,
Amy 20 years old ROBPI from MN

Amy,
That is such great news!!! I am so happy for you and hope it continues to go well for you. Remember to do your PT. It really does work.
I felt my arm starting to tighten up a bit the last few months because I wasn't doing my stretches. SO, I joined this cross-fit work out center and it has done wonders. My fourth day the guy was pretty impressed with how much my arm had improved.
Believe it or not I have done ten pushups....not so great...I do feel the compensation but...ten push ups!!!
Woo hoo....it was exciting. I hope you can start doing the same with your new arm!!!
*HUGS* sure wish I could make it to camp this year but it's still not looking like it for me. *pout*
Talk to you soon.
Keep up the great work Amy!!

Sue, actually this appointment will be at Shriners in Minneapolis, MN The date is exactly 12 weeks and the drive is 90 minutes less. I am so excited to have this appointment! I never thought this surgery would bring about so many awesome changes! CAnt wait to thank my doctor!
Thanks every one! I love being able to share with people who understand my excitement! You are part of what keeps me going! CAnt wait to show off at camp! I learned more new stuff today! Abduction and external rotation at the same time! Never done that before! It was cool to see, Think I will bring my camera to my next appointment so you all can see too!
