involuntary bicep muscle twitch...

Post by shaunnb »

hi all. hope you are well. my Lbpi has something strange happening...you know when your eye, lips or leg twitches when you are tired? well my left bicep has been doing that a couple of times...im wondering that for it to twitch, must there be a nerve receiving a signal from the brain? so maybe there is a nerve pathway there? i know it has only been a week since my surgery...but of all the muscles to be twitching...it is the one that hasnt been working..any comments..info would be much appreciated..god bless...Shaun

I will have a twitch every now and again. Normally after I have been active. It can actually be rather painful at times.

I also get a tapping. It is like someone is taking their finger and tapping you on the arm. Very annoying!

I am not sure what any of this means. Just know it happens. If you have just had surgery I would consider a twitch a good thing. Certainly something to mention to the doctor!

Good Luck!

How is your recovery coming along mate? Were you able to get some sleep aid? As far as the twitching goes I'm glad you brought it up and I look forward to the responses. It has become a game for me because I have them pretty much all over. More specifically my bicep and the game is to stare at it as it's twitching and imagine it going all the way down my arm and to the fingers. Once I have it at my fingers I excersise the heck out of them. Needles to say Shaunn I'm hardly twitching by then. As a result I really believe I am getting some sort of return in my fingers??? I don't really know so I'll keep my fingers crossed....
If I can't help I hope I can make it interesting.
