Post-Pronator Teres Question

Post by Stacy in NM »

Natalie had the pronator teres transfer and infraspinatus release exactly one week ago at TCH. Recuperation has been much harder this time around, but I know we're on the right track--actually got some sleep last night.

Right now I'm concerned about the increasing tightness in her lower arm. Within moments of being "strappped in", her little fingers begin to curl up and her wrist rolls back into pronation. It doesn't matter how tightly I strap her arm down. I know the splint is fitting and otherwise doing its job, but I've noticed her lower arm getting tighter and resisting being put in a fully supinated position.

I've e-mailed Dr. Nath, but I'm looking for any parents who've already been down this road and have some words of wisdom to share. Thanks bunches in advance!
