Triangle Tilt - opinions please

My 5 year old daughter had Mod Quad with Dr. Nath, and is scheduled to have Triangle Tilt surgery next month. It caught us off-guard so we're trying to learn everything we can in a short timeframe.

I'd appreciate any feedback (both good and bad!) from other parents about their children's results.

Thanks!

Hi,

You can search Triangle Tilt in the search field and you should get plenty on this topic.

I can tell you about OUR experience. My son had the TT July 2995 and did great at first, oh for the first 8-9 months and then he began to regress. His arm now functions very close to pre tt. We have been told that we could redo the tt along with an added acr and clavicle bone graft. So at the moment we are going to have his elbow serial casted and go from there. I have pictures if you would like to see them, just email me.

Good luck to you.

My daughter had the MQ with Dr. Nath in Dec o5 and just had the TT in March 07. We only did the surgeries because we were told her shoulder would eventually dislocate if we did nothing and it could cause further paralysis. We are starting to see pretty amazing results..it was really hard when she first came out of the cast and she looked so weak and her arm/shoulder were so small. She has been in therapy and is really gainning strength and mobility and the whole shoulder area is looking better.

I was concerned with the regression I read about in some of the children and spoke with Dr. Nath about it. He has made a few changes since first doing the TT.

You can email me at smartfam5@comcast.net if you have any questions. Hope this helps a little.
