Raise money for ubpn using goodsearch

Post by njbirk »

What if UBPN earned a penny every time you searched the Internet? Well, now we can!

GoodSearch.com is a new search engine that donates half its revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. You use it just as you would any search engine, and it's powered by Yahoo!, so you get great results.

Just go to www.goodsearch.com and be sure to enter United Brachial Plexus Network as the charity you want to support. Just 500 of us searching four times a day will raise about $7300 in a year without anyone spending a dime! And, be sure to spread the word!

It is a great idea! I'm dividing my searches between 2 causes though.. this one and Transverse Myelitis (as I have that too). So I will make $ for 2 great causes!!!

WE are off to a great start in may.....over 130 searches already !!!

Don't forget to let your friends and family know about this...it is a GREAT way to raise money for UBPN without any effort on the Board of Directors

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.
