I mean, I just can't imagine there is anything they can do. I know I need to find another attorny if I can (mine still hasn't called me back). The more I think of it though the more I think that maybe I don't deserve SSD. At least not yet. I can still function. I even thought about taking a part time job at a gardening nursery. I just don't know anymore.

I just called Senator Kohl's office. I said that we were having a problem with the SS office. They said sure we have the form. I can send it out today, you have to fill it out and return it and we will contact the SS office. Then they sent us a letter to let us know that they had sent the info to the SS office. Our problem was that they weren't making a decision on Dustin. It had been 284 days since we filed. They thought that if they waited long enough he would recover enough for them to deny him. But, due to his accident he has other issues besides the TLBPI.

Christina,
YOU DO DESERVE SSD and don't let anyone deter you from fighting to get it! That's
"depression" talking to tell you that negative thinking!!

I repeat, take a break, than contact your Senator. He's probably listed in yuour phone boiok or call your local Library for his name.

YOU HAVE TO DO THIS FIGHT YOURSELF, no one can do it for you!

Keep on, Girl, youo CAN do it!

Christina,

Come on now, Girl !!! You know you deserve SSD !!! You have to fight to get it...you can and you should. Don't let anyone tell you differently. I too agree with Carolyn that you need to talk to your therapist about this....you are slipping away on us and I hate to see it. My son is 8 and doesn't get SSI or SSD, but I will tell you when he turns 18, if he needs too, he will be there applying and I will be telling him the same thing.

If nothing else do it for the kids? Have you checked into getting some respite care, care for the kids, that you don't have to pay for, the state pays for them to come to your home, or you can take the kids to them.

I had it when Brandon was little, because I was having major issues !!! I snapped on a DCFS worker after someone called on me because they said I never took my kid (BRANDON) to the doctor...Okay, I had just gotten home from therapy ( I Was there 3 times a week) when they pulled up, I had all four of the kids in tow and I lost my mind on her. Before she left, she approved me for 32 hours a week to use between the four kids. It saved my life and probably my marriage !!! It was impossible to fit everything in at once. I only got it for a year, but I really did save me.

PLEASE, I beg of you to check with your therapist to see what can be done about getting you some respite so that you can do things for you !!!

Sorry to Rant and Rave, but I have lived in your position and it is NO FUN !!! I do not even remember my son's FIRST BIRTHDAY !!!
