Need Help in PA

My husband fell 10 feet from a tanker truck last April and damaged his long thoracic nerve, brachial plexus and damaged his cervical spine. We are NO LUCK finding DRS that can help him out, does anyone have any direction in which we can turn? We are willing to travel! Our lives have been turned upside down and we have no idea where to go.

Thanks for all of your help!
Beth

There is a wonderful medical directory on here under resources. Have you checked into Mayo? I know they deal a lot with TBPI.

Good luck!

Although you may post anywhere you wish in this forum, you may get a better response if you post this on the Traumatic Forum, they may be able to help you better there.

This forum consists of poeple who were injured at birth.
Good luck in finding anwers to your questions.

We have tried to get him into Mayo but due to it being a work injury they will not pay for it out of the state of PA.....and since then they have "terminated his job" so we have no other health insurance

Thanks
Beth

I second checking out the listing here.

I know you can email Dr. Addleson in Pittsburgh. They actually suggested I do that before seing him just in case. And if I'm not mistaken there is another place near Phily that deals with adults.

Hope you can get some help.

Beth, I don't know the reason for termination, but here in Illinois, terminating someone after a work related injury, is against the law. I know they can replace you husband but when he is ready to go back to work, they mustd take him back, EVEN if he needs MODIFICATIONS to be able to work. Check with a local attorney. Good Luck GAYLE

In New Jersey they can't fire you if your hurt on the job and if workers comp can't find you a BPI doctor they have to let you go to anywhere you need to in order to get help. Mare

In PA we can see any doctor that we want as long as they are in PA, we may not travel out of state.
