Hi Amanda
My son Eric is also 2 with ROBPI and I was interested in getting them. I saw one and was surprised as to how many pieces? What has been your experience with it?

We tried it with my son Matthew. He has skin issues (eczema) so he wasn't abel to use it. He has had probelms with all the braces we have tried.

Don't get turned off at the amount of pieces because until your child gets assessed you have no idea what you will be using. For months and months Maia just wore the tog "outfit" and just one strap across her belly. Then there were times when she wore the one strap and one strap on her scapulas. Then that became two straps in the back. Now we are planning to get her arm involved in the party so there will be 3 on the arm but that's really it.
Once you have the tog suit on (this takes the most time - about 4 minutes for us) putting the straps on is a snap.
The problem is that if your child is a moving target then just getting the suit on will be challenging....hehe... being realistic here.
There is a coolmax undershirt you can get if your child has skin breakout. Maia's never had a problem and actually Maia the eczema queen has had NO eczema in any tog area ever since she started togging - only on the palm of her affected hand which is never togged - so go figure.... the togs cured her eczema?? see how each of our kids are so different?
One will never know until you get the togs on and just do it.... best of luck,
francine
maybe this weekend I'll get lou to tape me togging Maia and you can see how we do it and see how long it takes....I'll see what I can do.

Jamie has only been wearing the theratogs since this past Wednesday but so far we've had a wonderful experience. Jamie loves her "cool gymnist suit" (her peditrician saw her in it and started calling the theratogs that.) I've actually had to fight with her at bedtime to take them off.!! She loves the feeling of them.

We currently use the Theratogs for my 18 month old. We love them and they are so light weight and easy to use. They may seem like they have TONS of peices, but you won't use them all at once. Good luck with them.

Togging sessions are hard the the first time...it takes a lot of energy. The best way to prepare is to make sure she has really good sleep, good food and just relaxing time prior to the appointment. It'll be a sensory change because her whole body will be involved int he shift. Hope she likes them!
