I have appt. on 3/13 w/ Dr. Spinner. I arrive Monday afternoon. I think I am getting some movement back in my deltoid and may need just some time to fully recover. Still intend to get their opinion. Kathleen, best of luck!

well, got back from surgery on Friday. They wanted me to stay one more night (I stayed 2 nights) but my son's 9th b-day was Saturday and there was no way I was going to miss that.
My injury is 19+ yrs old so this surgery was not for more movement.
I should send pictures of what I had done. I am so surprised that I am the only one on these posts that is concerned about being deformed. I am the 1st one to have this type of request. My 1st experience was not sucessful but after speaking with a young woman (at the time-10 yrs ago) she opted to do the same thing I did and hers was sucessful. I decided to try it it again (11 years later). And let me tell you my shoulder looks AWESOME. I have a shoulder again. My clothes will stay on me!
I guess I'm vain if I am only one who is concerned about my apperence but hey .............

I finally read your post after replying to you. You're not the only one feeling deformed (see! told you someone was always listening!) ;)

What did you have done? I've got the winging scap and I hate it.

So glad you are happy with the results of your surgery. It is nice to be able to keep your clothes up on your shoulder. What procedure did you have done if you don't mind my asking.
Praying for a speedy recovery for you.
