I am here at RIley Children's hosptial (week 5) with my newborn. There is another family here that has a very sick newborn, they are talking about airlifting the child to the Children's hospital in Philadelphia on Wednesday. Can anyone give me a contact number for an airline that would offer free or reduced airfair from Indianapolis to Philidelphia? We used Southwest when my oldest daughter had surgery in Texas. I know there form is for the child and an adult to accompany them. Their problem is that the baby is going to be airlifted and they would have to drive several hours through what is looking to be some pretty bad weather inbetween here and there. Also anyone that has information on the hospital there that wants to put thier two cents in, it would be helpful. Thanks!

I am sure someone here can help you but until then...have them talk to the socail worker at the hospital. THey should be able to help.
I have been keeping up with Dagny's progress. Seems like things are going as well as can be expected. Keep your chin up...you and Dagny and your husband and the girls are in our thoughts and prayers !!! GAYLE

Gayle? Just yesterday? no...I don't think so.... hehehe it feels like a whole lifetime ago for me. Wish I could redo it all actually.
I took down Maia's old site but I am revamping the important pages like the splinting page (that one is done) and the e-stim and travel pages....and then I'm going to write up summary pages and show the pictures because I think it's still important for parents to see the progression.

My little one is doing pretty good. They are thinking about trying to take her off the ventalator toward the end of the week.

Cara - it's going to be hard for that family to travel. I wonder if they'll even airlift the baby... we are having very bad weather - snow storm and even worse there is a huge ice storm coming in.

I was wondering the same thing this morning. Weather here in Illinois is terrible too. 100's of flights cancelled at both of our airports. Hope things are going okay for you CARA !

They are holding off on transport right now. The original reasoning was that they would wait till today for it to clear up. Indy was originally supposed to get hit Sunday afternoon, but the freezing rain and snow didn't really come in until Monday evening. It is a mess down here. Just going the couple blocks from the Ronald McDonald House to the hospital is a miserable journey.
