It's been a while since I have posted.....a move, then broken computer, etc.

Now, I'm back and checking first to see if anyone out there had a OBPI result from a birth at Trillium Health Center in Mississauga, Ontario.

And, Second, if any families in Ontario have found a trust worthy and competent lawyer to pursue their case?

I looked into the legal route up until a year or so ago and just thought I'd see if any new possibilities may have opened up.

My baby is almost 3 with a LOBPI.

Thanks in advance!!

Hope 2007 is bringing good things to all of you!

HELLO,
IM NOT SURE WHAT THE LAW IS IN YOUR STATE. I LIVE IN TENN. SOMETIMES YOU JUST HAVE TO GO OUTSIDE OF YOUR TOWN AND MAYBE EVEN YOUR STATE TO FIND A GOOD LAWYER. LET ME BE THE FIRST TO TELL YOU THAT THEY ARE HARD TO FIND.
IF I CAN HELP PLEASE LET ME KNOW
THANKS KATHY

Thanks Kathy,

Unfortunately, the Canadian legal system and medical system handle malpractice and negligence cases completely different from the states. You pay upfront anywhere from $5,000-8,000 just to have an attorney and specialist review your chart to determine if you even have a case worth fighting (ie. will the end payout out weigh the cost to pursue to case). It's sad and frustrating that's why I was hoping to find someone else out there from Ontario that actually has a worthwhile attorney.

Thanks for your response though, nice that someone took the time to respond!

Take care :)
