post-op wardrobe

Post by kaz »

Hey anybody come up with an easy way to wear a shirt with this immobilizer post-op that velcro around your chest(just under my breasts)and then velcro around bicep & wrist to keep my arm to my side. I've just been putting the one arm in and pulling the rest over my side with my hand trapped under my shirt. When I go to uncover my hand I have to be carefull not to expose my breast just inches away, not the first time, just don't like to scare the poor bystander :)
Thanks

John's surgery was in February so the weather was cold. I just cut some old shirts up the back & safety pinned them once he had them on. Then he wore a lightweight jacket over the shirt, with his injured arm underneath the jacket. It could be open or zipped up. Hope that makes sense!

Yes, thanks
I'm going to get a few oversized sweatshirts, it is getting colder here in the UP of MI lately. I just have to remember only 2 more weeks then I'll be able to get my arm in a sleeve. Did John do ROM excercise with PT 5days a week or did you do it for him at home? Did he do any water PT?
Thanks again for your help:)
