bpi at age 6

Post by sharlon »

well 61/2 if you hear her tell it. i haven't been on the baords in quite a while, first because because of the malpractice case, (which turned out ok i am happy to say) and then because i just needed to let go of some of intense focus of the injury and live life more.

today we are doing fine and the injury well of course its still there and there are some challenges with wrting that impact her school work. we are addressing those. but for the most part the injury does not define her any more and she is becoming just a little girl who can.

i owe her recovery in large part to the people who participate on this site, there is so much useful information that helped make informed decisions and get the best care. so thanks to everyone for all of your help. as all of you i am sorry to see so many children continuing to be affected. i recently learned that another child from my OB has been injured. i don't know the circumstances but i really feel for the family. it can be a long haul as we all know. but feel blessed to know that good outcomes do happen.

Nice to hear from you again Sharlon. I am glad to hear things went well. we should be finishing up very soon. I hate being away or posting this way just because of a suit. Not much longer though!

I recall our girls are about the same age 9yes, 6 1/2 it is!) and am happy to hear her injury is not defining her. We are still extremely involved in intense therapies and continuing surgeries here so I cannot say it is not controlling our lives still. Someday though is out prayers.

Glad to see ya back!
