I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this is normal or an I being a Over thinking, Before Alex had his surgery on December 8 he had wrist and finger movement, and tricep now after the surgery he holds his fingers in a ball and will not open them as he once did? I have only removed his sling when we bath or dress and not showing any signs of resistance as he did prior. Has anyone else experienced this or does that sound like healing process. Worried

I think it's probably best that you call your specialist's office and have a talk with them about what to look for and what to expect and if it is ok to see or not see any movement at this point. I don't know what was done in the surgery.

I know that for nerve grafting surgery that my daughter had, the nerve had to regrow from the neck and down the arm. It took 5 months to see any biceps connection. It was a long excruciating wait but in time we did see the results.

Best of luck for great results for Alex,

Hi, me again, not sure about your question. From my experience the nerves in which are damaged, repaired, and also stressed due to repair take time to recover. Not sure what exactly was done, and of course I'm not a Dr. so can only share opinions about what I have been told and experienced.
