My son is 5 months old and we had Surgery on Dec 8, it was the longest time of my life 6 hours of waiting. Now I am so ready to see if any help will come out of the surgery. Typically I am such a mellow person, But I feel so lonely with this, I just found out how to use the sight even knowing this wonderful women Jane from the Cinncinati BBI Clinic gave me a brochure and her email address which I missed placed. I would like to know if there are any support groups in the NorthEast area that I can turn too.

Welcome Alex's Mom. It's a pleasure to have you here.
Waiting patiently is a very difficult task indeed. Keep up the good work.
I am not specifically involved in any support groups myself, so I cannot offer that information to you. Hopefully somebody else can.

Hi, Alex's mom!
Our daughter had the intial surgery @ 3mths old. She is doing very well now, but I can relate to the waiting. We waited about a year before any real improvement. It is a long road to recovery and one that you feel like it was all for nothing at times, but then one day there's movement! and things start to look up. Every child and injury are different,so recovery will be different. Please email me if you would like. I would love to share with you!

My prayers are with you.
