Today was Frankie and my day we went to Ot and she held his hand putting pressure on the back and he can bend and straighten his fingers all of them it used to be just the pointer finger moved. She put him in a hand splint to keep the pressure on so he can keep moving them. He has also gotten movement in the arm going up and down but it has to be lying down (no gravity) he is now doing exercises using his skate board (I finally found a safe use for the thing )Also I called the insurance co about all these denial letters telling me I have to appeal it and they had no idea what's going on or why the letters are being sent but the bill was paid today by them. At least that's what they said today see what happens tomorrow. Hugs Mare

I am so happy for you guys....

So does this mean Dave has been retired?
I must have missed something.

I am so glad he can move his fingers...WOW how exciting.

As for the insurance company that is a big STRESS relief.

MAre,
I am so excited for Frankie. Too bad Dave is gone. Thank goodness the insurance company said they paid the bill. Sometimes I think they don't know what they are talking about. Call back tomorrow and see if they tell you the same thing....LOL !!!! See I told you results are amazing......keep up the great work !!! GAYLE

Mare,
check out the pics on my web site and tell me if Frankie's new hand splint is similar to any of mine. I would think she has him in an mp blocking splint but I could be wrong. www.freewebs.com/bpimn then click on the photo album. THe hand splint I am refering to is blue and only covers my knuckles

Frankie would get along great with that splint design, I love mine and it allows me to use my hand with out worrying!

I hope he has more great news to share all the time!
Keep up the hard work Frankie!!!
Hugs,

Yes Carolyn dave is retired but we hang on to him in case something happens to Mitch. Frankie actually liked dave better he was softer and frankie had figured out how to use him as a pillow. This splint is hard plastic Hope and goes 1/2 way around his mid section then his arm is separate it to is molded plastic with the straps to hold the arm in place. To hold the arm in the air it has 3 coat hanger wires and two turn buckles coming out diagonally. There are two hand splints the one is on the splint its flat and the fingers get strapped down flat i that's for as long as he can stand it he says it makes them stiff then the other for now is just a CVS splint but the Ot put foam to apply pressure this allows him to bend and straighten he's has to do exercises in this one. Frankie has decided he wants to play the guitar he got his older brothers out last night and was messing with it I can see him getting so much more confidence doing things he would never have tried before things he always said he wasn't interested in I guess because he knew he couldn't do them. Its 6:30 am gotta get frankie up for Ot type more later Hugs Mare,Frankie, Old Dave New Mitch
