Hello everyone, It's been quite a while since I have posted. It's almost Christmas time and I am trying to find a left handed digital camera. Caralyn just loves to take pictures and I promised her I would try to find one for her for Christmas. Any ideas? or even a digital camera that could be easily manipulated from the left side. I don't know of any...I asked a camera buff who said they don't make them for lefties. As my son is now left handed, that's frustrating. However, he does well with just turning the camera upside down.

How are you, I am here in PA visiting Ryan and he says he doesn't know of any left handed cameras, but most left handers use a regular camera and use it upside down.

I use a normal digital camera just with my left hand, have never had any problems at all. Video cameras aren't so easy, but normal still cameras don't need 2 hands, they focus, take the pics, you just have to be there

Thank you, I guess I hadn't thought about having her use it upside down. We haven't even tried the video camera, yet. I would still like to find her a left handed camera, so if anybody hears of one or of one that is easy to use from the left side, please let me know. Karen, yes,it has been cold but it actually warmed up and snowed about 6 inches last night. We are having a heat wave it is above zero now The kids were so thrilled that we finally got some real snow, it was beginning to be frustrating with it being so cold with nothing to show for it.

I did some searching on some left handed sites and came across this.

This one was recommended to a man;s wife that had suffered a stroke. Even though the picture shows a right hand, I can see a left hand not having any problems.

They all mentioned holding conventional cameras upside down or cameras that have pistol grips.

renee... i just use mine upside down, make sure there is no date stamp on the pics though Also I would get a camera that is LIGHT! Mine is not and I wish it was!!! Have a great Christmas!!

Caralyn has a digital camera that is also very heavy and I am looking to get her a lighter one. I think I will just go in and test out a bunch of them. You just don't realize how much taking pictures with your left hand gets in the way until you do it. anyways thanks for all the advice.
