Hi fellow Mayo patients~~~
Counted yesterday and this will be my 26th trip!! My injury is 19+ yrs old and I am still going. I wont see the "New Team" as I call them. I have been going so long my 1st team was My Team. They are no longer there but they saved my arm which in my heart saved my life! Dr Wood (formally the CEO; since is retired) was the best doctor of all the doctors I have seen! I'm going to see my reconstructive doctor, Dr Johnson. Appt tomorrow @ 2 PM and first on list for Friday for surgery. I'm not worried about it I just hate leaving my 4 children. It is the 1st surgery I'm having since I have had my children. My last surgery was 12 years ago. But I have been up there 4 times since. I go back for a 2nd surgery over the holidays......bbbbbbbbbbbbrrrrrrrrrr-coldest time of year.
If you hate your skinny arm Dr Johnson can help you. At least give you self confidence.
Take care everyone!!!
