My family doctor told me to call my neuro about the side effects I've been having with the Neurontin. So I called to day and they want to see me and have me back down to the 600mg. I'm only on the second level of titration for the new dosage and I'm still having tons of pain so I know that the 600 mg won't help much. I'm wondering what he might do.
I plan on calling my insurance company on Monday to see if they cover Lyrica and if it will have a bad affect with my other meds. If it's covered and won't be bad then I'm think I'm going to ask for that.
What do you think he'll do?
Re: What do you think he'll do?
I attempted to get a prescription of lyrica filled a while ago for my painful BPI shoulder. I was denied because I don't have diabetic/peripheral neuropathy which is a different kind of nerve pain the drug is approved for. I did not fight my insurance company on that but I know that people do such things all the time and get approved.
I know your pain is probably 10 times worse than mine but I know for me stretching everyday has REALLY made a differance. Not at first, but over time its helped me more than other things I've tried so I wanted to share that with you and others on this site.
I really hope you find pain relief!
