Hello again

Post by admin »

I posted a couple of weeks ago when I first heard the word Brachial Plexus. I am the person who got hurt on playground duty in March. Anyway I went to the Rothman Institute today and the doctor said that he believes that therapy will not be helpful at this point so he is scheduling me for surgery. He explained what they would do and said I should only miss about 10 days of work. Then I will have some serious therapy so that he doesnt need to go down my arm. Has anyone had this surgery for TOS? He will be operating on my right clavicle/shoulder area. I hope that this is all it will take to stop this pain. Thanks for listening! Susan

I have had surgery for possible TOS. My case may be different than yours. I suffered a brachial plexus injury at birth. In the last year I started to develop burning pain down into my hand. My specialist said that there was a possibility of scar tissue pressing on my nerves(similar to TOS). Anyway I had surgery in the same area as you to remove scar tissue and I'm glad I did. It has greatly reduced the pain. Good luck
