Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.

Thanks for thinking of me.

Sadly I have to say I was not able to see Dr. Nath. The day before our trip Stevie became quite dehydrated from an illness and it was neccessary for me to stay home to care for him. Because he had to have fluids every 10 minutes there was no way we could treat him on the road. As much as I hated to miss the opportunity to see Dr. Nath I really felt that Stevie needed me more.

I am in the process of drafting an email to the specialist in Pittsburgh to see if he thinks a trip down to see him would even be worth it (this was a suggestion made by his nurse). Unfortunatley I have been overly busy with the twins and unable to actually finish it.

I'm back on the neurontin (when I remember to take it) and it seems to help a bit. I go back to see my neurologist next week though its more or less just to check the meds. He is of no help otherwise. I'm also seeing a chiropractor who at the moment thinks I have some issues going on with my back that may or may not be associated with the OBPI. She's reccommended having some xrays done which I just haven't followed up with yet. I also have to follow up with my pcp because the CTS isn't getting any better and in fact is getting worse so I need to see what the next step is for that. So basically I supposed it's all just the same old stuff, just a different day.

Thanks again for thinking of me.

I sorry that Stevie was sick and that you had to miss your appointment with Dr. Nath. Hopefully he will be back in your area again soon. He is all over the place. Why don't you send him a video? Or you can call him....he is awesome at returning calls and returns them himself. Also, he has e-mail and returns those also. I hate that you had to miss your appointment, but maybe you can arrange to get in touch with him some other way !!! Gayle
