I just wanted to thank you all for sharing your stories...both funny and sad. I can relate to all of them in one way or another. I'm 24 with right BP. I've never done anything about it and never talk to anyone about it. It's kind of a taboo subject. I get embarassed sometimes when people ask me about it...but I shouldn't because they're just curious. I've learned that by having a great sense of humor and loving myself, I can get through anything.

This is my first visit to this message board and I want to thank you again for making me feel not alone.

Thanks, Kath! I've enjoyed reading your stories...but I'll be damned if I knew about the 20/20 story....when was it on? What did it cover? I'd like to get my hands (or hand!) on it!!

I have "never done anything" about my arms either....and rarely talked to anyone until I came here 2 years ago. And as you see, now you can't shut us up hahahaha You hit it right on the head with the comment about the sense of humor and LOVING YOURSELF !!! With those things and all of US on your side you WILL get through anything......

Wow we now have two Erica's...

Damm you missed it!!! it was on last Friday night...
the first 15 minutes devoted to Video taping births... they showed two bpi births... upsetting... the Moms post on the General Board and got 20/20's attention...

One doctor said he did not have time to notice the floppy arm... now I don't remember if that was on the tape or the doctor who posted to abc 20/20 message board... but the floppy arm got me...

Sorry you missed the show... but glad you found us...
and Tina is right we neve shut up now...LOL...
