Go n-éirí an bóthar leat
Go raibh an ghaoth go brách ag do chúl
Go lonraí an ghrian go te ar d'aghaidh
Go dtite an bháisteach go mín ar do pháirceanna
Agus go mbuailimid le chéile arís,
Go gcoinní Dia i mbos A láimhe thú.
which means..........
May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.
I've often wondered what St Paddy would think of the orgy of drunkeness that marks his day....anyway, time for a Guinness with a Jameson's chaser......:0)

Happy St. Patricks Day to all. We were supposed to go out last night to celebrate and party with a friend and his band. However, Brian (husband), got a severe sunburn last week that he is still nursing, Adam (son) is fighting allergies and the smoke in the bar would have killed him, Joy (ME) was in pain from bpi and decided to nurse the rum at home with a heating pad on the shoulder! Man does that make me sound like an old lady or what!?!?! LOL

Hey Joy
Sorry top see everyone is under the "weather"..... so if you would not mind could you send some of that warm sunburn weather here....to NY we are expecting snow...
Today was our Parade in Pearl River It was a bit quiet this year except for the cheers for New York City Police & Firefighters - we had a record crowd...
I love a parade... and I love men in kilts.... and the bagpipes.... so it was worth freezing.....
good thing I had the hot thick soup waiting for us...along with Soda Bread.... and the rest of the meal.... It was bone chilling today...but this old lady made it... LOL.... so did all my kids to eat!!!!
I did not want to miss the bagpipers.... or is it just the kilts...LOL...
