Hey guys I was working at my job,and while trying to fit a patient with a mask i heard a crack in my bpi shoulder and now it seems it has gone numb. and I get a lot of "stingers" going down my arm. Im wondering what i should do now i have been putting this aside long enough i think i have to do something now. oh by the way I went to my ER and all they wanted to offer me was pain killers i declined i have dealt with this for 27 years a little longer wont hurt. any suggestions im at a pause.

When you went to the ER they did x-rays right?
I would try to get some PT/OT ultrasound and deep tissue massage has made my pain and numbness go away. I hope you are able to find your solution very soon.
Good luck,

Tony, you need to call a bpi specialist ASAP and tell him/her about the crack you heard and the resulting numbness. Cracks and numbness sounds serious to me.

Dear Tony,
Remember Dr. B at John Hopkins that was at Camp 2005? Please contact him or another BPI Specialist ASAP...
Are you covered by Labor & Industries, since this condition suddenly went wrong while you were on the job? if not, you could be eligible. AFTER you see a BPI Specialist it may be time for you to consider applying for Soc. Sec. Disablity Benefits.I'm glad you've posted. I personally have been worried about you since Camp.

Yes, Tony, you do need to do something NOW ASAP.

Tony,
Ouch!! That does not sound good at all. I remember I was about your age when my arm started to go numb and paralyze itself. The stinging pain was outrageously painful too. Definitely call someone right away (bpi specialist) and see what they can help you with.
Remember also you may not get any answers right away and do not give up on just one reply. Keep your chin up and please let us know what you find out. Hang in there. *HUGS*

Anthony:

There are 2 BPI doctors in Florida listed in our medical directory. Judy T. is checking on others.

Guys you have all been very supportive and I really need that for I havent felt myself lately. My boss seems very understanding towards my issue and she said if I need time take time my position isnt going anywhere. I just would like to hear from Belzburg and see what options I have so far 2006 has been a very good year I hope it stays that way. I hope you are all well and I hope you all are finding the comfort I find from these boards. hope to hear from you all again soon. I will keep you posted with any progress.

Thanks :P

Tony,
Please do keep your chin up. It can be very overwhelming and almost consume you from time to time. As long as you remember you are a great person and have a great family you will make it through this. And we are all here for you also.
*HUGS*
Hang in there buddy!!
