Well last night the doctor who actually delivered Cassidy was deposed. I don't know why I was so frustrated and irritated - I should have expected the unbelievable rehearsed lies. . .the talking in terms. . and the quaint little smile on her face. I wish I would have brought Cassidy in before she had a chance to leave! I bet that little smile would have faded right away when she saw my little one walk in wearing an airplane splint as a result of her mistakes!
Do you know - she actually had the nerve to say that she didn't even have her hands on Cassidy's head and face for anything other than "support"! Everywhere in Cassidy's medical records it dictates "Marked and Severe Bruising of the face - both upper arms - the R Back - and R Chest" - so if all she did was "support" her head - how in the h#@l did she end up so bruised?
My husband didn't even go last night because he knew it would infuriate him!
I don't know what delivery she was present at and recalling from her memory - but it obviously wasn't mine - there's no way that memory could have came from my delivery! She must have been in someone elses room (at least in memory)!
She also had the nerve to say that the additional staff that she called in was only due to the fact that the hospital I delivered at was a teaching hospital so she was simply offering "clinical experience" to the residents - they weren't there to offer assitance to her! OH MY GOD! WHAT A LIE! That's why one of the residents ran in - threw his watch on the table and almost knocked my mother over trying to get to me! Because he was so excited to observe right!
WHAT A JOKE!
The only depositions left are that of 3 nurses - and 2 experts - and we should be to mediation in May! I can't wait until this is all over - and I don't have to observe any more of their lies!
Just wanted to vent!

I know exactly how you feel!!!! We're going through depositions still after 3 years. Every time a new therapists or doctor sees Michaela the want to depose them. This is one time in my life I wish I'd had a video camera in the delivery room. Hindsights 20/20 LOL pardon the pun! I know they see alot of patients and can't remember every delivery and purposefully don't keep good records, but I wonder if we dropped our pants if they'd remember that end of us since they don't remember anything while looking in our faces!!! My delivering doctor didn't record he did an episiotomy on me,so according to my lawyer it didn't happen, butI told him I've got the scar to prove it and I'll show it if I have to, to prove whatever I need to, to prove that sorry guy is a liar! I've gone to getting mean ,better hush! Stirs up too much anger! Hang in there! LeeAnne
