Does anyone know why there are loads of old posts returning, with no new stuff attached, even though it says "last post 8 May 2006" ? Or is there a glitch at my end where I'm reading it ?

Me too. I'm too new to know why or how but maybe someone is looking and just posting instead of going back?

What's usually happening is that spam-bots have found an old page and managed to hit "reply". The reply is garbage spam, so doesn't get approved by the moderators, but unfortunately the thread still gets "bumped".
